December Fine Arts Ceremony

Dia De Los Muertos Event @ the MIM

Students from Mrs. Pinuelas' 4th grade class were chosen to create ofrendas dedicated to deceased musicians for display at the Musical Instrument Museum during the month of November. The students were treated to two field trips to the MIM. One to get a feel for the museum, and one to celebrate the completed ofrendas. The staff of the MIM provided a lovely boxed supper on the terrace, a short tour for students and their parents, a concert by renowned cellist and storyteller Carlos Prieto, and some time to explore the museum. It was a wonderful opportunity and experience for all of us.

September Fine Arts Award Ceremony

Fine Arts students were awarded trophies today by teachers from the Fine Arts/PE team based on their artistic achievements. Parents were invited to attend the ceremony which took place on the Performing Arts Center stage.

Last Day 4 Teachers

We will only be apart for 2 months, but we had fun right up to the last minute! You can bet this is pretty much how we will start again in late July! To my colleagues: "Rest, read, and recharge!!"

Fun during AIMS testing

Students taking the AIMS tests got several breaks for specials but also a "game" day. Some kids opted for physical games in the gym and others spent time with board and card games up on the stage. The kids are working hard on doing their best and the breaks were well received.

Field Trip To Metro Arts

Our Fine Arts Team took a select group of students on a field trip to tour Metro Arts and Arizona School of the Arts. We were treated to a studio performance of a one act play which was awesome.
